Project Dream Maker Bringing New Life to Driving Park

Project Dream Maker Bringing New Life to Driving Park

Are you looking to purchase new, affordable housing in an urban setting?
Your search is over with the Project Dream Maker program. Project
Dream Maker gives local residents the opportunity to purchase newly
constructed, single family homes designed by a custom builder.

“The historic Driving Park neighborhood is an urban residential area on
the near east side of Columbus, offering quick access to the downtown
area and is a family oriented community, said Elnora Jenkins, executive
director of the Gertrude Wood Community Foundation, GWCF, sponsor of
the Project Dream Maker program.

The first home in the program was recently completed. The home offers three
bedrooms, including a first floor master, two full baths, partial basement,
garage and new appliances.

“The homes are excellent for first timers or forever homes with built in equity,”
said Jenkins.  “The program allows buyers to build their dream home at an
affordable cost without compromising on quality or design.”

The One Street at a Time program is also facilitated by the GWCF. Homes near Alum Creek to the east, Parsons to the west, E. Main St. to the North and Frebis
to the South are completely renovated for purchase and/or rent to own.

Contact Elnora Jenkins, bethanycdc@sbcglobal.net or 614-595-4373 for more information on the newly constructed home on Miller Ave. and any of the homes
in the Project Dream Maker program or One Street At A Time.
