How Do I Prepare to Sale?

"I want to sell my home, but I don't know where to begin," sound familiar?  Well you are
not asking an uncommon question. There are  several considerations and actions to take
when selling a home. We will take a look at some of those in this blog.

The first consideration should be identifying a home inspector to look at your home.
The inspector will determine potential problems before the home is place on the
market. Home inspections keep things in perspective, provide considerations
when pricing your home and give you more control in the selling process.
Depending on the age of your home you may also want to consider having a
termite inspection.

Once the inspection/s are complete you need to start clearing away clutter in each
room. Also, if possible, you should remove any furniture or other items that show the
true size of a room, which is always helpful.

Home improvement stores i.e. Home Depot and Menards offer various sales on
Do it Yourself projects, kitchens, baths, fall landscaping and weatherization
products. Visit their websites menards.com and homedepot.com for sale details.

Last, but certainly not least, the exterior should always be appealing. If the outside
is not exceptional all the work done and money spent on the inside will be for nothing
if the outside does not appeal to the buyer.

Selling a home involves some work, but in the end it is well worth it. Selling allows
you to either upsize or downsize, depending on which is best for you and/or your family.
