Senior Living Festival Tremendous Success
Between 2500-3000 seniors, professionals
serving seniors and advocates attended the
sixth annual Senior Living Festival this
past Friday. The festival featured health screenings, information on senior
programs, services and senior living communities. Free medicare
comparisons were also available. The
event was essentially a one stop shop for everything senior.
“Anything you want to know about
seniors, you can find it here,” said Marlene G, festival
attendee.
“This year’s festival was outstanding,”
said Fran Ryan, Senior Services Roundtable.
“I think it kicked off really well, said
Ryan. The Senior Services Roundtable along with the
Franklin County Office on Aging and the
Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, COAAA
sponsored the first festival in 2011. Each year
the event has grown in attendance and sponsorship.
“Thanks to the sponsors, vendors and all
the attendees for another successful Senior Living
Festival,” said Janet Caldwell, Franklin
County Office on Aging.
The Senior Services Roundtable is a
clearinghouse of information and ideas to assist seniors
in Central Ohio. The organization promotes
collaboration among public, private agencies and
groups who serve older adults.
Join the Senior Services Roundtable,
Franklin County Office on Aging and COAAA for next
year’s festival on October 27, 2017.
